Who is responsible

Data we process and where it comes from

We process information submitted by account holders, website visitors and people reporting content. This can include account names, email addresses, password hashes, public profile fields, photographs, contact fields, correspondence, report reasons and report details. Existing account activity may include message, transaction or other feature records where those features have been used. Technical systems can record IP addresses, browser information, access times, session identifiers and security events.

Some published records may have been supplied through an administrative import from a third-party source rather than directly by the person shown. Publication does not establish that the person supplied or approved the record. If information about you is inaccurate, unauthorised or should not be public, request correction or removal through Report content or contact support. We can investigate the source of a specific record.

Purposes and legal bases

Account administration and handling an account holder’s requests may be necessary to perform our agreement with that person. Security, investigating abuse, responding to complaints and maintaining reliable service records may be based on legitimate interests, with regard to affected individuals’ rights. We process data when required by a legal obligation and seek consent where consent is required, including for optional tracking. Where data reveals a special category such as information about a person’s sex life or sexual orientation, a separate applicable condition is required in addition to an ordinary legal basis. Submission by somebody else is not treated as the person’s consent. Contact support to challenge processing or request restriction while a concern is investigated.

What is public and who can access data

Published profile fields and photographs are accessible to visitors and can be indexed or copied by search engines and other third parties. Contact information intentionally made available through the site can be accessed through its public controls. Removing content here does not automatically remove independent copies elsewhere. Reports are not public; authorised administrators can review them and the related security or audit records. Do not put confidential evidence or identity documents in a public field.

Service providers and disclosures

Hosting, database, email delivery, backup and security providers may process information needed to provide their services. Cloudflare supplies network and security services for this domain and can process network metadata. We may disclose relevant records when required by law, to protect a person from harm, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Provider processing can involve countries outside the EEA. Where applicable, a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards are required; contact support for information about safeguards relevant to your data.

Retention and protection

Retention depends on the purpose: whether an account remains active, whether content is still published, whether a complaint or dispute is unresolved, and whether law requires a record to be retained. Removed content may remain in restricted backups until those backups are replaced. We assess deletion or restriction requests against these purposes and any applicable legal obligations. Access controls, password hashing, encrypted connections and security logging help protect data, but absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. We may request proportionate information to confirm your identity; do not send identity documents in your initial email. We normally respond within one month; where law permits an extension, we will explain it. You can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority.

Children, automated moderation and cookies

The platform is restricted to adults. Report suspected minor-related content immediately. Repeated reports can cause a profile to be hidden automatically pending review; an affected account holder can ask support for human review.
